Update from Nadia

Providing a quick update about relocation to Orlando, FL and upcoming work/travel plans.

I just wanted to post a quick message to check in; I know that it has been quite some time since my last post. I had to take a bit of a blogging hiatus because my family and I were dealing with a major relocation. Those who have done the same in the past know that relocating is a huge, extremely time-consuming project. Now that we are a bit more settled in, I’m looking forward to things getting back to normal.

Anyway, here is my update: after 11.5 years away (including 9 years in Delaware), I am once again a Florida resident! We relocated to Orlando, Florida, where I spent my formative years. It’s good to be back.

I am still working at the University of Delaware ELI, managing its Marketing/Recruitment initiatives, but I work remotely out of my home office in Orlando. So far, it has been wonderful. I have really been enjoying working from home and the focus that is possible when working outside of a traditional office environment.

One of the major advantages of my new situation is that I will be able to resume my recruitment travels this spring. Last year, after my maternity leave, it was clear that traveling around the world while balancing life with an infant back home was…let’s just say “challenging,” LOL! So, I’ll be back on the road again in Spring 2017. I look forward to seeing many of you at recruitment events again, soon.

In the meantime, I’m back to blogging again…so happy reading!

I'm a fan of "everything international:" travel, meeting people of other cultures, speaking foreign languages, cross-cultural communication, international business and marketing, etc. I'm also a bit of a nerd, LOL.
